Of our 310 people in Waterford, over 120 are involved in the software development lifecycle across a broad range of technologies. They are engaged in projects with colleagues across the company's international operations that are typically focused on the re-engineering, enhancement and replacement of existing financial applications. Sun Life Financial Ireland teams provide services at all stages of the software life cycle from project feasibility through development to production support.
Our Service Desk commenced operations in April 1999, providing 24/7, 365 days a year support to over 27,800 Sun Life Financial employees globally. The Service Desk operates in English and French.
We troubleshoot problems on all MS Office applications, Lotus Notes, Windows NT, Novell Networks, as well as our Mainframe system. Problems can range from simple access requests or password changes to complex network IS.
Our Business Administration team provides financial administration services for both our US business and International business.
We have a variety of back office administrative teams working on death benefit requests, processing withdrawals, fund transfers and maintenance work on client accounts. Our International team specifically provides high level customer support to our high net worth clients based outside of North America. This team of dedicated specialists communicate with customers through inbound and outbound calls to clarify customer requests and provide back office administrative work either in English and other languages such as Spanish, Portuguese and Hindi.
