 Sponsoring the WIT Graduate of the Year Bursary

Sun Life Ireland has a very close relationship with Waterford Institute of Technology, which is located just a five-minute walk from the Waterford office. Two courses of study related to our business needs are on offer, namely the Higher Diploma in IT (BSA) and the Masters in Distributed Systems. Previously, we have also sponsored the WIT Graduate of the Year Bursary.

As well as the above courses, Sun Life offers employees the option of further education internally in the form of LOMA. We offer two Life Office Management Association accreditations, and cover all costs relating to these studies. LOMA students are rewarded with cash bonuses on successful completion of each module.

Sun Life is proud to have a dedicated Training & Development team on site. The Team, which has been accredited by the Excellence Through People award, delivers a variety of training including job specific courses such as systems and software applications, annuities and policy administration as well as soft skills such as coaching, people management and presentation skills.
