The Waterford coastline is dotted with popular beaches such as Tramore and Annestown, which are both great for surfing. In addition, there is the Copper Coast which includes beaches such as Bunmahon, Stradbally and Clonea, all of which are within a 30 minute drive from Waterford City.
Traffic
The flow of traffic from Waterford City to the Sun Life Financial offices in the IDA Industrial estate has been greatly improved to help with a stress-free commute. This means the average commute to Sun Life Financial from most residential areas in Waterford City is approximately 25 minutes. Also, with the opening of the new suspension bridge over the River Suir in October 2009, commuting from surrounding counties such as Kilkenny and Wexford has been made virtually effortless. In addition, public transport and private parking allow Sun Life employees to commute everyday ensuring less time and money spent on driving.
