We are excited to share that we were awarded a special Best Workplaces in Ireland 2024 ESG (Environmental Social Governance) Award. This award recognises our commitment to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 in our Ireland Office. Installing our solar panels, using emission free electrical energy, LED office lighting are just a few of the positive changes we have made. In addition to our Environmental efforts, we were also recognised for our community charitable efforts which all of you have so passionately been involved with. We have been able to donate almost €750,000 in the last 25 years and we are very proud to have made this contributed to our local community.

Gender Pay Gap
In July 2021, the Gender Pay Gap Information Act was signed into law. The Gender Pay Gap Information Act (GPG) requires organizations with over 150 employees to report their gender pay gap information across a range of areas using specific metrics. Corporate Social Responsibility
Sun Life is committed to giving back to the local community and has made huge efforts in raising awareness and funds for local charities.
Sun Life Ireland have donated almost €750,000 in the last 25 years and we are very proud to have made this contributed to our local community. The employees of the Waterford office raised 70,000 in one event in 2023, the funds were raised celebrating Sun Life’s presence in Waterford for the past 25 years. Charities such as Alone, Pieta house, Waterford Hospice, Friends of the Elderly, and Irish Cancer Society, were present on the night to receive cheques for their respective charities.
In the last year, employees showed their continued generosity by raising over €50,000 for them and for many other charities.

Why Waterford? A natural playground for golf, equestrian, walking, angling, water sports and cycling enthusiasts, Waterford has so much to offer. The county offers a dazzling coastline, the Waterford Greenway, beautiful river valleys and two dramatic ranges of very accessible mountains. Our recently established Greenway provides the perfect opportunity to explore our beautiful coastline and countryside.
